Facilities Manager for Physical Plant

Drive facility excellence as a Facilities Manager at the Physical Plant. Oversee maintenance trades and ensure building compliance in this full-time, ongoing role.

In this vital position, you will report to the Director of Physical Plant. Leading a skilled team, you will manage HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical operations, and fire safety protocols. Your responsibilities also include overseeing capital planning, managing budgets, and coordinating renovations, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards at every turn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance trades and power engineers

• Manage building maintenance for various systems

• Oversee capital planning and budget preparations

• Coordinate renovations ensuring permit compliance

• Lead business development and on-call activities

Requirements:

• 2-3 year post-secondary diploma in trades-related field

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of facility management practices

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Familiarity with CMMS and risk management
