Overview
We are seeking a senior operations leader to oversee and scale our manufacturing operations. This role can be structured as either a Director of Manufacturing Operations or General Manager
, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 20–40 production employees
, driving performance across production, safety, quality, and continuous improvement while aligning day‑to‑day operations with broader business objectives.
- Lead and manage a manufacturing team of 20–40 production employees
, including supervisors and team leads - Own day-to-day plant operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
- Develop and execute operational plans aligned with company growth and profitability goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, process optimization, cost reduction)
- Oversee production planning, staffing, scheduling, and capacity management
- Monitor and improve key KPIs: productivity, labor efficiency, scrap, rework, and delivery performance
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, logistics, and sales teams
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning
- Build a strong performance culture through coaching, accountability, and clear expectations
- 7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading teams of 20+ production employees
- Background in HVAC, mechanical, or industrial manufacturing preferred
- Strong operational, people management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, and ERP/MRP systems
- Hands‑on leader comfortable on the production floor
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
