Instrumentation Tech (Full Time) Brandon, MBWe are currently recruiting an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to join our team at the Brandon CO2 Plant in Manitoba. This position is critical to the safety, reliability, and quality of plant operation and merchant market product supply.
Instrumentation/Electrical Technician- Calibration and testing of all Critical Safety System, Equipment Protection, and Quality Control components.
- Troubleshooting and replacement of failed or defective instrumentation including actuators, regulators, solenoids, transmitters, switches, sensors, and analyzers.
- Maintenance of the plant PLCs, including troubleshooting, card replacements, and logic changes.
- Responsible for the Instrumentation Preventative Maintenance Work Order System.
- Ordering replacement parts and components and maintaining critical shelf plant spares.
- Planning and execution of plant turnaround work.
- Ability to start, operate, and shut down the plant.
- On‑call for after‑hours failures.
- Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation Control Technician Certificate.
- Red Seal Industrial Electrician Certificate.
- 5+ years experience in an industrial plant environment.
- Operating and maintenance experience with process, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
- Previous plant and/or industrial gas experience a plus.
- Strong safety culture.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to meet physical job requirements (lift 25 kg, climb stairs and ladders).
- Proficient in English.
