AboutThe Role – Shift Supervisor (Hollinger, Ontario, Canada)
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Shift Supervisor within our Orica Canada team focused on day‑to‑day bench management, supervision and coordination of loading teams, including Blasters, Blaster Helpers, MMU Operators and sub‑contractors. Promote the company safely and efficiently through customer service.
This vacancy is to fill an existing position.
What you will be doing- Lead safe execution of blasting operations—stop work if risks arise
- Champion a strong safety culture through training, audits, and reporting
- Coordinate daily open pit operations, staffing, and site logistics
- Maintain production targets, service delivery, and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with SHEC standards and operational procedures
- Drive continuous improvement across safety and site performance
- Step in as Site Lead when required
- High school diploma (post‑secondary in Mining/Engineering is an asset)
- 5+ years supervisory experience in operations (mining/blasting preferred)
- Strong safety mindset and customer‑focused approach
- Knowledge of blasting equipment and explosives regulations
- Blaster license and/or Surface Blasting training (asset/required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driver abstract

Compensation Range- $52.65 per hour
- Medical on the first day worked. Basic module paid by the employer.
