Production Operator

MSP Manitoba Starch Products in Carberry, Manitoba is currently seeking full-time Production Operators to join our team! Our plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The successful applicants will work on a rotating schedule which includes 10 and 12 hour day and night shifts, so you only work 7 out of 14 days each pay period!

• Set up the production equipment and supplies before producing job orders
• Operate industrial vehicles to transfer finished product within the factory and between buildings
• Work with the PLC system to monitor production and troubleshoot issues
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs
• Perform regular equipment preventive maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality
• Monitor waste production streams
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• 1+ years? experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex systems, equipment, and processes
• Available to work 10 and 12 hour shifts on a 24 hour, 7 day per week rotating schedule
• The ability to work alone on night and weekend shifts is required
• The ability to work in varying temperatures
• The ability to lift and carry up to 25kgs, walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time (with breaks), and be comfortable with heights
• A strong work ethic with the ability to maintain an excellent attendance record
• A positive, collaborative attitude and approach to work
• Mechanical aptitude
