Join Extendicare as a Registered Nurse, focusing on enriching the lives of seniors through quality care. This full-time position emphasizes direct care and effective medication management.
As a Registered Nurse reporting to the Director of Care, you will ensure that care plans are current and documented accurately, while you also facilitate move-ins and transfers. Your responsibility includes supervising unregulated care providers and promoting effective resident/family education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure up-to-date resident assessments and service plans
• Participate in resident care conferences
• Administer medications in compliance with policies
• Supervise nursing student assignments and care
• Coordinate emergency responses in the absence of leadership
Requirements:
• Valid RN registration in applicable Province/State
• Background in gerontology and long-term care
• Excellent time management and coordination skills
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to supervise
• Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
