Extendicare seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse focusing on comprehensive care for seniors. Emphasizing effective medication management, this full-time role ensures residents receive quality attention.
Reporting to the Director of Care, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate care plans and facilitating resident transfers. You will supervise unregulated care providers and provide educational support to residents and their families, enhancing their care experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Keep resident assessments and service plans current
• Engage in resident care conferences effectively
• Administer medications following established protocols
• Mentor nursing students during their assignments
• Lead emergency coordination in the absence of leadership
Requirements:
• Valid RN registration in the relevant Province/State
• Background in gerontology or long-term care
• Excellent skills in time management and coordination
• Comprehensive clinical knowledge with supervision skills
• Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
