Part-Time Registered Nurse at Extendicare

Join Extendicare as a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) and provide direct resident care while ensuring compliance with health and wellness standards. This role involves medication administration and critical documentation.

As a Registered Nurse, reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, you will work closely with residents, families, and the healthcare team. Key tasks include conducting care assessments, scheduling care conferences, ordering medications, and facilitating education for residents and family members. Your expertise in gerontology and strong clinical skills are essential to coordinate effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete resident care assessments and documentation

• Administer medication in compliance with regulations

• Coordinate care conferences and manage transfers

• Supervise care and medication administration by Unregulated Care Providers

• Respond to medical emergencies and resident concerns

Requirements:

• Current registered RN status in applicable province

• Experience with seniors and care coordination

• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Recent Vulnerable Position Screening (within 6 months)
