Extendicare's Part-Time Registered Nurse Position

Become a part of Extendicare's mission by applying for the Registered Nurse (RN) role. This position enables you to provide direct care to residents and administer medications safely.

Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, you will ensure that all resident assessments and service plans are completed accurately and timely. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating educational sessions for residents and families, as well as overseeing Unregulated Care Providers. Your skills in care coordination and clinical knowledge will be crucial for this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care

• Administer medications according to Extendicare policies

• Participate in residents’ care plan evaluations

• Coordinate care through effective staffing assignments

• Address concerns from residents and families promptly

Requirements:

• Active RN registration in your province

• Experience with older adults and medical staff supervision

• Strong clinical judgement and communication abilities

• Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office

• Current Vulnerable Position Screening certificate
