Compassionate Registered Nurse at Extendicare

Become a vital part of Extendicare as a Registered Nurse providing exceptional care and support to residents. This full-time role involves medication administration and comprehensive care planning.

As a Registered Nurse, you will report to the Director of Health and Wellness and play a key role in managing care plans and emergency responses. Your collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams will ensure residents receive quality support and timely interventions. Strong communication skills and critical thinking will enhance the care experience for our residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct resident assessments and maintain service plans

• Facilitate care conferences and transition processes

• Manage drug orders and compliance with regulations

• Educate families and residents about care processes

• Lead nursing team assignments for efficient service delivery

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the Province/State

• Experience in gerontology or long-term care beneficial

• Proven communication and care coordination skills

• Competence in delegating tasks to unregulated providers

• Recent Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening necessary
