As the Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator, you will ensure a safe working environment by supervising safety programs and engaging all employees in proactive safety practices. This influential position involves overseeing compliance with regulations, conducting safety training, and building strong relationships with management and union representatives. Your insights will drive improvements in safety processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safety program development across the organization
• Oversee the performance and growth of safety staff
• Coordinate workplace safety audits and training
• Manage Workers Compensation Board program compliance
• Analyze safety trends and prepare comprehensive reports
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least five years' experience in safety and health
• Valid First Aid with CPR-C certification
• Class 5 driver’s license required
• Minimum three years' supervisory experience
Contribute to a culture of safety and accountability at the City of Brandon.
