Sales Associate

We are committed to enhancing the morale and welfare of the military community, ultimately contributing to the operational readiness and effectiveness of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) operates 36 retail, convenience, and grocery stores across Canada (and two in Europe). As a Sales Associate, you will provide retail services to CAF members and their families, helping to simplify and improve their lives.

Responsibilities

• Serve Canadian Armed Forces members and their families in the store.
• Operate point‑of‑sale systems, maintain a float, and process debit/credit transactions.
• Respond to customer enquiries, provide information on merchandising, and ensure shelves are stocked, properly faced, and signed.
• Prepare food and beverage orders, including takeout items, and maintain cleanliness of food service and eating areas.
• Offer additional services such as dry cleaning, lottery, self‑serve gas, postal services, and assistance with credit plan applications.
• Work as part of a team using modernized technology and an understanding of the unique pressures and rewards of military service to deliver the best customer experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Reliability clearance required.
• Previous retail or customer‑service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, up to 64 hours bi‑weekly, on a permanent part‑time basis.

Wage Range
: $18.46 - $19.57 (Based on previous experience). Commuting allowance may be available for eligible candidates.
