Position: Security Officer at Prairie Mountain Health

Become a Qualified Persons Security Officer with Prairie Mountain Health, focusing on creating a safe healthcare environment. Proficient in communication and emergency response, this role demands a commitment to mental health safety.

As a QPSO, you will be licensed under the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act. Your training will include de-escalation techniques and custody transfer processes. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of issues facing vulnerable populations, ensuring security and safety within health facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain physical presence for rapid response to threats

• Escort at-risk clients within healthcare settings safely

• Respond to emergencies and support incident command

• Operate security systems, including CCTV and access control

• Complete documentation of incidents and activities

Requirements:

• Minimum one year as a Security Patrol Officer

• Licensed to practice in Manitoba

• Proficiency with handheld radios and IT applications

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and vehicle access
