Security Officer – Emergency Response Focus

Serve as a Security Officer at Prairie Mountain Health, emphasizing emergency response and safety. This role is critical for maintaining security in high-traffic healthcare environments.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of all individuals within health facilities while efficiently handling emergencies. Strong judgment and independent decision-making will be essential, especially when interfacing with law enforcement. Your ability to provide support to clients from vulnerable backgrounds will also play a key role in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe environment within PMH facilities

• Respond to security threats with effective crisis intervention

• Oversee training and orientation for new security staff

• Act as Site Incident Command during emergencies

• Monitor and report on facility safety conditions

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 education is essential

• Must possess a valid Security Officer license in Manitoba

• Proficient with communication devices and Microsoft programs

• Experience in independent, high-pressure situations

• Strong knowledge of community healthcare resources
