Position: Community Justice Coordinator Role
Join the Southern Chiefs' Organization as a Community Justice Coordinator in Brandon, Manitoba, dedicated to advancing First Nations justice initiatives. Focus on advocacy and mediation to serve various communities.

You will take on a pivotal role under the Community Justice Manager, collaborating with justice stakeholders, like the RCMP and Crown, to manage casework in a restorative justice context. This position requires you to provide both advocacy and counseling services, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support during their interactions with the justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee case management for referrals to the program

• Attend weekly court sessions for client updates

• Advocate for restorative justice options in community

• Organize and lead Community Justice Committee meetings

• Submit detailed reports to the Community Justice Manager

Requirements:

• Degree in Criminology, Social Work, or similar

• Two years of relevant experience in advocacy

• Strong grasp of restorative justice practices

• Exceptional communication and cultural competency

• Ability to handle confidential information
