Position: Counselor for Community Addiction Support

Support individuals struggling with addiction at Prairie Mountain Health as a Community Addictions Worker. Utilize your counseling skills and knowledge to promote recovery and wellness.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a Diploma in Applied Counseling—along with supervised experience. You'll focus on delivering client-centered services in the areas of alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Strong organizational skills and the ability to advocate for clients within diverse environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial assessments with clients

• Provide tailored individual and group counseling services

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client documentation

• Collaborate with community partners and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or diploma with experience

• At least one year of supervised counseling background

• Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence with personal vehicle access

• Proficient in Microsoft applications and IT tools

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
