Transportation Superintendent

Position: Transportation Superintendent at RM of Wallace-Woodworth
Location: Virden

Lead the Transportation Department as a Transportation Superintendent in Virden with RM of Wallace-Woodworth. Oversee urban transportation and sanitation operations while managing the R.M. equipment fleet.

This key role supports the Chief Administrative Officer in enhancing the municipality's transportation and sanitation services. With a focus on teamwork and leadership, the successful candidate will need strong problem-solving and communication skills to effectively manage staff and operations. This position emphasizes a commitment to professionalism and respect within the team environment, ensuring strategic objectives are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee transportation sidewalks and urban road networks

• Manage sanitation and landfill operations effectively

• Enhance R.M. Equipment Fleet management

• Develop and lead an efficient team within the department

• Promote positive communication and conflict resolution

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
Class 3A or Class 1A willingness

• 5-10 years of management experience

• Background in public works and road services

• Equipment knowledge of graders and loaders

• Strong project management skills

Experience leadership and strategic management in transportation services to drive efficiency at RM of Wallace-Woodworth.
