Our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead a small team, and ensure that projects are running smoothly by providing technical advice. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills and experience within construction or modular build related sectors.
Roles/Responsibilities
Lead, Lead and mentor a team of 2 Design Engineers, managing workload and project delivery
Act as the key link between Design, Manufacturing, Projects, Procurement and Installation
Lead client design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
Ensure designs are accurate, compliant and optimised for manufacture before release.
Oversee BIM, Revit, QA, document control and design standards.
Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance and the wider design function
About You
Strong design experience within manufacturing, construction or related engineering environments
Strong design experience with a focus on Design for Manufacture (DfM)
Experience delivering engineered products from concept through to manufacture
Strong technical design background within a fast-paced engineering environment
