About On-DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. As an On‑Demand Team Member, you will not be on the posted weekly schedule; instead you will create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members through the myTime mobile scheduling app that work best with your schedule.
Reliable and prompt attendance is required. You are expected to pick up at least one shift every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility may be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to contact attempts. If you do not respond, your employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment will be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when the business demands it most are critical. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short‑term structured training schedule.

As a Guest Advocate, you will:
- Communicate and interact with guests to build an inclusive guest experience.
- Blend problem solving and decision‑making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve concerns.
- Adapt to different guest interactions and situations.
- Promote and engage around various benefits, offerings and services.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.

- Know the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.

- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety and best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Explain Target Loyalty programs and assist with application; be familiar with all fulfillment services and direct the guest to enroll, activate and use them.
- Show guests how to use Wallet, Target App features and other offerings.
- Attempt every return and follow register prompts.
- Partner with leaders to de‑escalate issues and recover the shopping experience.
- Deliver accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area.
- Stock supplies while available for guests.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Work safely, complying with safety policies and reporting hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive‑up, returns, and maintain compliance.
- Support cash office processes and manage cash systems.
