- Number of Beds – 36 Bed Level 3 NICU
- Number of Staff –
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift – 2 Respiratory Therapists
- Night Shift – 2 Respiratory Therapists
- Patient Ratios – NICU is generally staffed with 2 therapists to cover the 36 bed unit during peak volumes.
- Type of equipment - Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide and Vapotherms
- EMR – Meditech and Neo Notes
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Registered Respiratory Therapists
Must have :
- Level 3 NICU experience
-would consider someone with 3-5 years of Level 2 NICU experience - NRP certification
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- STABLE certification
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
- Attend high risk deliveries
- Ventilator management with conventional as well as high frequency oscillatory ventilation
- Surfactant administration
- Blood gas acquisition and interpretation
- Nitric Oxide administration
