AI & Customer Experience Internship

The TeleVoIPs AI & Customer Experience Internship gives students real-world experience with how a software product is learned, adopted, and improved. TeleVoIPs has run the phone systems for hundreds of Florida businesses since 2009, and we built Engage, our own CRM and marketing platform, which uses AI in many places today. Over 12 weeks, interns will learn Engage the way a new customer does, tells us honestly where it loses people and make the case for how businesses will be using Engage and AI two years from now.

• Learning Engage through our internal training and credentialing program
• Sit in on real customer onboarding sessions and keep a written record of everything that confused, annoyed, or surprised you
• Give structured, evidence-backed feedback on where new users get lost and which AI features do real work, then submit your findings as feature requests
• Research a real industry we serve, such as HVAC, dental, legal, or real estate, and build a complete, usable Content Pack for it: landing page, emails, campaign, lead form, follow-up automations, and social calendar using our AI tools
• Present your view of how a business in that industry will be using Engage and AI two years from now to the TeleVoIPs leadership team

We're looking for curious students who want hands-on experience with AI, product, and customer experience at a real software company. Ideal candidates are:

• Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Science and Business, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity students in the USF Bellini College (no single major required)
• Enrolled at USF and available to participate throughout the Spring 2027 term
• Curious about how people use technology
• Writers who can explain something plainly; most of what this role produces is written
• Comfortable learning new software quickly and poking at it until they understand it
• Interested in AI and ready to form their own opinions on where it helps a business and where it's oversold
• Willing to tell us when something isn't working

This is not a software engineering internship: you won't write code or work in our codebase. No prior Engage experience required. We teach the platform.

• Real experience with AI as it's used in a commercial product, including where it helps, where it gets in the way, and where it isn't good enough yet
• Engage Academy certification:our internal training and credentialing program on a live commercial marketing-automation platform
• A portfolio of real work: a Content Pack you produced, feature requests in a live backlog, an onboarding proposal, and a presentation to a leadership team
• A direct line to the people who decide what gets built next, so your findings don't go into a drawer
• Academic credit supported. If your program awards credit for this internship, we'll complete the employer paperwork and provide a named site supervisor. You will need to coordinate with USF Career Services or your college's internship coordinator.
