Pre Op PACU RN PRN

Brandon Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is looking for a Pre Op PACU RN PRN to provide high‑quality preoperative care in our ambulatory surgery center.

As a Pre Op Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. You will demonstrate HCA values and deliver quality care in a family‑focused environment.

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests
• Review your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery
• Administer pre‑operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
• Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher degree in Nursing (required)
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• BCLS certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire
