Veterinary Assistant – Banfield Pet Hospital (Job )
Join Banfield Pet Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant to put your love of pets into action. In this role you will work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians, advocate for pet health, educate clients, and support continuous quality care for every animal.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and techs in patient care, ensuring safety for pets, clients, and staff.
- Maintain patient flow and assist with flow coordination.
- Communicate with the veterinarian and veterinary technicians regarding patient status.
- Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or tech assistance.
- Adhere to hospital standards to keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
- Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans® and preventive care.
- Mentor other hospital team members.
- Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice.
