Food Service Cook – Brandon Community Care Center

We’re seeking the right candidate for the position of Food Service Cook at Brandon Community Care Center. In this vital role, you’ll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.

Shifts available: 6A‑2P, 12P‑10P.

• Prepares meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure quality with minimum waste.
• Reviews food menus and work orders to determine the type and quantities of food to be prepared and to identify all foods required for therapeutic diets before preparation.
• Preps, measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes.
• Assists driver with preparation of meals and loading and unloading of items for delivery.
• Portions and arranges food and distributes to waitstaff to be served.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
• Labels and dates all food items in accordance with the food storage chart.
• Receives, checks‑in, dates and stocks deliveries in appropriate areas.
• Ensures food products are cooked and served in compliance with the State of Louisiana Department of Health sanitation standards.
• Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
• Interacts with residents/clients and co‑workers with patience, understanding and kindness in accordance with the Comm Care Corporation mission and core values.
