, we're looking for an Accountant to join our Farm Books team and help producers build strong, sustainable businesses for generations to come.

Location: Brandon, SD
Salary: $60,000-$65,000, depending on experience

• Build trusted relationships with family farm clients
• Maintain accurate financial records and analyze general ledger accounts
• Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, profitability reports, and other financial reports
• Turn financial data into practical insights that help producers make confident business decisions
• Participate in farm meetings and help explain financial trends and results
• Prepare organized year-end information for tax preparers
• Support onboarding of new Farm Books clients
• Collaborate with the Farm Books team on projects and process improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred; agriculture, client accounting, or small-business experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation required
• Familiarity with tax-basis accounting is preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate financial information in a clear, practical way
• Passion for agriculture, rural communities, and helping family farms succeed

• $60,000-$65,000 salary
