Overview

Enrich Biosystems is developing novel high-throughput, microfluidics-free cell discovery platforms that address critical gaps in existing technologies. Our technology enables more confident screening, isolation and discovery of cell therapy candidates, quick, easy and robust sample processing for single-cell omics analyses, and flexible cell line purification workflows. We are located in Branford, CT.

Enrich Biosystems is seeking candidates for two engineering roles in Product Development:
Mechanical Engineering Intern (Job code: ECR-016) and Product Development Engineer/Mechanical Engineer (Job code: ECR-021).

Mechanical Engineering Intern (Job code: ECR-016)

Enrich Biosystems has developed a bench-top laboratory instrument that enables short and long-term studies of interactions between living cells. The need for these studies is very broad— including cancer, immunology, and stem cells, in activities ranging from pure research to drug development and clinical therapies.

Essential Function and Scope of the Position: Supporting new product design focusing on performance, manufacturing, cost, and reliability requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and tests to improve the current design. Involve in all phases of development from initial concept to manufacturing. Perform analysis of optics, mounting strategies, detailed geometric tolerances, manufacturability, and cost. Create CAD models, drawings, and specifications for parts and assemblies.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Involved in designing, constructing, and commissioning product development projects; identifies critical factors for project success and works flexibly to meet deadlines.
  • Facilitates system commissioning and improvement by reviewing acceptance test scripts, participating in field testing, liaising with operations for maintainability, and assisting in systems training.
  • Coordinates engineering consultants and contractors for complex product development projects. Prepares proposals to facilitate execution and oversees teams for quality delivery on schedule and within budget. Actively involved in project execution and presented findings as needed.
  • Be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of implementing complex tasks and keeping good notes in writing;
  • Proven team player with a strong quality orientation and interpersonal skills. Provides guidance, training, and supervision to junior staff.

All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed essential to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.

Preferred Educational Background:
