Vet Technician, Lead – Community Veterinary Partners

Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $32.00/hr (Actual pay based on skills and experience)

Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a Lead Technician to our team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated person who is interested in Leadership. Ideal candidate: self‑motivated, willing to learn on the job, stay calm in a busy environment. We will only consider Certified Veterinary Technicians or Technicians with more than 8 years in the veterinary field and/or more than 5 years in a leadership position.

• Ensures the delivery of excellent care for all hospital patients.
• Provides critical feedback to technical personnel and participates in reviews.
• Establishes and oversees training protocols for technical staff.
• Schedules technical staff efficiently, maintaining attendance records and meeting budgetary goals.
• Manages controlled drugs records and inventory.
• Organizes and manages regular tech team meetings and in‑house continuing education.
• Promotes positive working relationships and effective communication between clients, doctors, reception and technical staff.
• Monitors compliance with OSHA, DEA, and FDA requirements; notifies Practice Manager of any regulatory issues.
• Develops and enforces policies and protocols.
• Provides primary technical support to veterinarians during scheduled shifts.
