Brookfield Animal Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Brookfield Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited 3 DVM fully equipped small animal hospital proudly serving the Brookfield, CT community. We are compassionate, friendly and completely committed to quality veterinary care for our patients and individualized service for our clients. At Brookfield Animal Hospital, you will be part of a team that provides the highest quality medicine and surgery with ultrasound, blood pressure and pulse oximeter anesthetic monitors and dental radiology in a fun working environment that promotes teamwork and personal growth.

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record your observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws and placing IV catheters; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids)
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery
• Pharmacy skills, including protocols for filling in‑house

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) preferred but not required
