Join Our Team as a Construction Manager.
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing daily, on-site telecommunications and civil construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. This role involves managing field operations, Aligning with project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Experience in Civil and Network construction, including Horizontal Drilling, Excavation, Aerial Make-Ready and placement, cable jetting/blowing and splicing, is essential.
Responsibilities
Apply and enforce the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure compliance with HS&E standards, OH&S regulations, and applicable codes across all employees and subcontractorsEnsure project materials are supplied and work is executed in accordance with the Project Quality ProgramOversee daily construction activities for telecommunications projects in both Underground and Aerial environments, including fibre optic installation, shallow utilities, and related infrastructureEnsure all work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and standardsDevelop, maintain, and drive project schedules in collaboration with the project team; ensure milestones and completion dates are achievedSupervise field employees and subcontractors; ensure work is planned efficiently and timesheets and Production Reports, are accurately codedOversee fibre installation activities, including cable jetting/blowing operationsEnsure quality execution of fibre splicing, testing, and documentationLead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support project progressionMaintain detailed daily reports tracking site progress, inspections, and key activitiesMentor and support the development of project team membersEnsure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policiesPerform other related duties as requiredPersonal Qualities

2+ years of hands-on construction experience as a Construction Manager or similar direct supervisory role. Experience with Outside Plant construction or other telecommunications construction projects is preferred.Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processesAbility to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutionsExpert knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and VisioAbility to travel to…
