About the RoleWe're looking for a Payroll & Finance Supervisor to join our team in Brantford. In this role, you'll process payroll, support key finance functions, and help coordinate the day-to-day activities of our Finance team. You will:
- Lead the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll and related employee records;
- Oversee timekeeping, benefits administration, payroll compliance, remittances, and year-end reporting;
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and other finance-related activities;
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team responsible for finance and administrative functions;
- Investigate and resolve payroll and finance-related issues while serving as a resource to employees and managers;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and departmental performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in payroll or administration considered anasset.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance role;
- Experience independently processing end-to-end Canadian payroll;
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, CRA requirements, and payroll best practices;
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Proficiency with payroll, accounting, and spreadsheet software, including Mac-based applications such as Numbers;
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion;
- PCP designation and Payworks experience are considered assets.
