Join ALS as a Safety Coordinator based in Waterloo, focusing on health and safety initiatives across service centres.
Your role will ensure compliance and facilitate training programs.
As a Safety Coordinator, you will collaborate with management to execute ALS's health and safety strategies effectively. This position involves traveling to various service centres to ensure safety protocols are followed and that staff receive proper training. The role’s impact will enhance safety culture and operational compliance in line with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with location managers on safety program implementation
• Conduct routine safety inspections and oversee training
• Lead the Joint Health Safety Committee meetings
• Manage and coordinate emergency response drills and supplies
• Document and report all safety incidents in compliance portal
Requirements:
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Health and Safety
• Minimum of 1 year experience in laboratory environments
• Strong organizational and public speaking abilities
• Valid driver's license for travel across Ontario
• Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs as necessary
