Create patient-specific orthotic and prosthetic designs using 3D CAD and technical drawing skills in a full-time, on-site Brantford role.
Black Octopus Ltd. seeks a 3D CAD Designer for orthotics and prosthetics. You will develop precise digital models, interpret clinician sketches and measurements, and prepare construction drawings. The work supports custom devices through collaboration with engineering, production, clinicians, and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and refine 3D CAD designs for custom devices
- Interpret clinician sketches and measurements accurately
- Prepare technical and construction drawings for manufacturing
- Maintain design files and support prototyping adjustments
- Participate in quality reviews and improve product fit
- Strong CAD and 3D modeling skills
- Ability to produce clear technical drawing documentation
- Experience developing accurate construction drawings
- Engineering or industrial design background
- Diploma or degree in a related technical field
