Shape the future of skilled trades education at Six Nations Polytechnic as a Skilled Trades Instructor. This role emphasizes curriculum design, student assessment, and engagement with the community in a hands-on learning environment.
As part of SNP, you will lead the delivery of apprenticeship and post-secondary programs, ensuring all educational activities are culturally respectful and aligned with safety norms. You will play a significant role in promoting student progress and success while maintaining key partnerships within the industry. Your leadership will help foster a supportive learning atmosphere essential for student retention and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver effective trade curriculum
• Monitor and assess student performance regularly
• Identify and manage work placements for students
• Oversee daily shop operations and resource allocation
• Support the institution’s events and policy initiatives
Requirements:
• Post-secondary credential in relevant trade area
• At least 3 years of skilled trade industry experience
• Instructional delivery experience in educational settings
• Knowledge of administrative and compliance procedures
• Background checks as mandated
