Sensity is looking for a skilled Recreation and Programming Specialist to design and adapt sensory programs for individuals who are deaf-blind. With a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies, you will be an essential part of the team, utilizing your three-plus years of progressive experience to enhance the development and implementation of inclusive programming. Your expertise in sensory-informed practices will be vital for creating personalized experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design inclusive programs utilizing sensory channels
• Manage Snoezelen and music room environments
• Document and evaluate program outcomes
• Partner with external organizations for collaborative efforts
• Lead training initiatives on sensory programming
Requirements:
• College diploma in Recreation or equivalent
• Three years of relevant programming experience
• Knowledge and practical experience with deaf-blindness
• Effective communication and planning skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work evenings
