Position: Educational Assistant - Special Needs Support
Join the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board as an Educational Assistant for the  academic year. This temporary full-time role focuses on providing essential support for special needs students in classrooms.

As an Educational Assistant, you will facilitate the learning process by enhancing the educational experience of children with special needs. Responsibilities include aiding transitions, implementing educational plans, and gathering behavioral reports to inform instructional strategies while working in tandem with teachers to support diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individual and group learning for special needs students

• Act as a liaison between students and teachers

• Help create engaging learning materials under teacher direction

• Observe and track student behavior and development

• Aid students with personal care tasks as required

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in educational assistance

• One year of relevant child experience

• Strong empathy and a team-oriented mindset

• Must perform hands-on tasks competently

• Proficient in basic computer applications
