Make an impact as a full-time Educational Assistant with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board in Brantford. This temporary role supports special needs students through personalized assistance.
The position entails working 35 hours weekly in a supportive environment aimed at enhancing student learning. You will assist in delivering programs for special needs students, facilitate communication between students and teachers, and contribute to classroom dynamics.
Experience with physical tasks and a positive attitude towards students are essential, along with relevant training that aids your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Aid in transitioning children from home to school
• Assist with lesson delivery and crafting teaching materials
• Observe and report on student behavior and progress
• Support with toileting and feeding as needed
• Participate in planning field trips and supervising students
Requirements:
• Completed a post-secondary educational assistant program
• Minimum one year of experience with children
• Positive and empathetic attitude towards students
• Basic computer software knowledge
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
