Grade 5 French Immersion Teacher

Teach Grade 5 French Immersion at Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School in a long term occasional assignment with the Sudbury Catholic District School Board.

This 1.0 FTE assignment supports students within an inclusive Catholic learning community. The position requires Junior Division qualification, French as a Second Language qualifications, and strong English and French communication. It emphasizes differentiated instruction, evidence based assessment, technology supported learning, and Catholic Education principles.

• Plan and deliver Grade 5 French Immersion instruction
• Use differentiated approaches to engage students effectively
• Apply diagnostic assessment to inform teaching and learning
• Support literacy and numeracy initiatives at school
• Implement effective classroom management strategies consistently

• Current good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Qualification in Junior Division
• Additional qualifications in French as a Second Language
• Excellent oral and written English and French communication
• Knowledge of IPRC, IEP, and Ministry initiatives
