Fowler Construction is actively seeking an Operations Manager to assist with the efficient and timely execution of our CDMC Sudbury East Contract.

- Assist with contract management ensuring on-time reporting per contract specifications
- Maintain good public relations by keeping ministry, public, and other affected parties informed, deal with issues and complaints in a timely manner.
- Assist with patrols as required.
- Communicate with the Ministry as they relate to inquiries, issues, and/or reporting deficiencies,.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry reporting.
- Maintain accurate WOR records.
- Job costing, including time and materials tracking, change orders and 3rd party invoicing.
- Track deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
- Attend pre-start meetings for sub contractors.
- Capital improvements, work order preparation and tracking
- Equipment tracking
- Bridge and culvert inspections; including deficiency and repair reporting.
- Carry out scheduled inspections including; fencing (reptile and ungulate), pond and stormceptors.
- Administer Health & Safety protocols and reporting as they relate to the incidents, accidents or spills.
- Facilitate and maintain locates as required.
- Prepare sample testing of materials for lab
- Schedule traffic control requirements, based on repair schedule.
- All other duties as requested by management.
- Business, Civil Engineering or related postsecondary education and/or knowledge gained through experience.
- Accounting experience an asset
- Bridge Inspection training asset, Book 7
- Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management.
- Valid G driver’s license required.
