On-Site PLC Automation Engineer

Akkodis seeks a skilled PLC Automation and Controls Engineer for an on-site role in Brantford, Ontario. Leverage your expertise in PLC programming and automation to optimize projects.
In this position, you'll engage deeply with PLC commissioning and on-site operations. Collaborating with a robust team, you'll handle Ethernet/IP communication, complete parameter settings for controllers, and perform I/O checks. Your insights will guide fault handling and program optimization after the project's launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage PLC commissioning and complete networking work

• Configure AB inverters and Lenze servo controllers

• Conduct thorough I/O checks per process requirements

• Provide on-site fault analysis and optimization

• Program PLCs based on field processes
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical automation or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation and electronics

• Proficient in AB PLC and HMI programming

• Experience with EPLAN, CAD, and related tools

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
