Position:
Maintenance Planner

Location:

Brantford – Paper Mill

Shift: Conventional Shift (days)

Hourly Rate: $36.57

Reporting To:
Plant Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule all maintenance work that will drive a culture of zero injuries and zero breakdowns.
  • Use EAM software daily to manage all work orders and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Plan and schedule all maintenance work two (2) weeks in advance and communicate to all affected parties.
  • Work closely with MRO coordinator to update spare parts lists in MP2 as required.
  • Use MS Excel to prepare timelines, and track costs for planned outages.
  • Ensure all parties are kitted and delivered to jobs.
  • Communicate with contractors for planned outage work.
  • Ensure all work orders have necessary attachments printed; examples include HEPC's, check sheets, and any work instructions.
  • Identify areas for improvement including safety risks, PM task improvements and general operating improvements.
  • Understand the importance of Preventative/Predictive Maintenance plan and schedule all related activities to support this approach.
  • Use COUPA to create purchase orders for contracted labor.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Good understanding of preventative maintenance skills and mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong level of computer skills and proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivation and strong work ethic.
  • College certification in Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Available to work conventional shift (days) and willing to work overtime, as required.
