Maintenance Planner

Position: Maintenance Planner at Sonoco
Exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner at Sonoco in Brantford! You'll manage maintenance schedules and promote safety and efficiency in a conventional shift setting.

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, this planner will be responsible for scheduling maintenance work two weeks in advance while collaborating with the Mechanical and Electrical Lead Hands. Your expertise in preventative maintenance and strong organizational skills are essential for driving a culture of safety. Proficiency in EAM software and MS Excel will aid in effectively managing work orders and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule all maintenance activities in advance

• Use EAM software for managing work orders

• Communicate with contractors regarding planned outages

• Track costs and prepare timelines using MS Excel

• Identify areas for safety and operational improvements

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance

• Excellent organizational and computer skills

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• College certification in Engineering preferred

• Flexibility to work conventional shifts and overtime
