Apply cold regions and permafrost expertise as an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer with Stantec, supporting hybrid and remote project delivery. Work across Canada and globally on complex infrastructure projects that matter.
This intermediate position supports dam, reservoir, hydropower, and other infrastructure projects. You will perform advanced analyses, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and collaborate with clients, colleagues, and industry partners. The role also includes mentorship, proposals, business development, and innovation focused on climate adaptation.
Key Responsibilities:- Support cold regions geotechnical design and construction
- Complete complex analyses using state-of-practice software
- Coordinate geotechnical and multidisciplinary project teams
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and industry partners
- Contribute to proposals, market expansion, and digitization initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in geological, civil, or geotechnical engineering
- Seven or more years of relevant industry experience
- Cold regions and permafrost design and construction experience
- Knowledge of Canadian and global guidelines and standards
- General knowledge of Geo Studio, Leap Frog, or Rocscience
