Maintenance Aide at Extendicare

Shape a supportive living environment at Extendicare Brierwood Gardens, Brantford, ON, as a Maintenance Aide. Deliver outstanding customer service through effective maintenance and repair tasks.

As an integral part of our team, you will report to the Environmental Services Manager and be tasked with executing routine repairs and performing minor maintenance on our facilities.

Your role encompasses inspecting the premises regularly and adhering to safety standards, enabling a transformative living experience for our vulnerable residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and minor repairs on building systems

• Paint and conduct carpentry work as needed

• Carry out safety inspections and report findings

• Follow established policies and safety protocols

• Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance work

Requirements:

• Strong ability to understand instructions in English

• Proficient in physical tasks, including moving heavy items

• Familiarity with basic repairs in plumbing and electrical systems

• Knowledge of safety and health regulations

• Must have or obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
