Facilities Assistant

Join SOAR Community Services as a Facilities Assistant in Brantford, ON. This full-time role helps ensure facilities are safe and welcoming for clients and staff alike.

In this critical position, you will support the Facilities Team in managing 10+ locations. Responsibilities include using an automated ticketing system for task prioritization, performing general maintenance, and communicating efficiently across the organization. A proactive approach to preventative maintenance is essential to resolve issues before they escalate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tasks through an automated ticketing system

• Communicate effectively with team members and staff

• Identify preventative maintenance opportunities

• Resolve maintenance issues before emergencies arise

• Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1 year of general maintenance experience

• Knowledge of Ontario Building and Fire Codes

• Basic residential electrical and plumbing knowledge

• Valid driver’s license for site travel
