Summer Student - General Helper

Responsibilities

• Ensures the continuous movement of product through hand-Stacking, discharging, and packaging of finished parts.
• Works in co-operation with the Operator and Shift Supervisor and references set‑up procedures to ensure material is safely loaded onto production equipment.
• Operates bundle turner / pacman when parts require to be flipped.
• Prepares packaging in advance.
• Carries out set‑up duties as instructed by Operator.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Complies with the designated ISO/TS16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.
• Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and that all department personnel and visitors utilize safe work habits. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required at all times.
• Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards.
• Strives for continuous improvement.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts.

• High school diploma and currently enrolled in post‑secondary education.
• Full‑time summer contract position running from May 1 – August 31. The base pay for this position is $21.00/hour.
