CNC Machinist
Brantford, ON | $29.36 - $37.54/hr (based on experience) | Day Shift
Kelly Services is proud to partner with a leading manufacturing organization in Brantford, ON to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Machinist who enjoys precision machining, CNC programming, troubleshooting, and working in a collaborative manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting production, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and various machining equipment to produce high-quality components
- Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code and machine controls
- Perform machine setups including tooling selection, offsets, fixturing, and adjustments
- Operate CNC and manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, saws, and other shop equipment
- Complete machining operations to meet blueprint specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Perform precision measurements using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools
- Adjust tooling, inserts, speeds, and feeds to maintain quality and improve machining efficiency
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or process adjustments as required
- Perform deburring, grinding, finishing, and other secondary machining operations
- Support preventative maintenance activities by identifying tooling, coolant, and equipment concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and quality procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace standards
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to solve machining challenges

What You Bring:
- Certified General Machinist with a Certificate of Qualification (COQ) preferred
- CNC certification and/or strong CNC machining experience
- Red Seal certification or currently working towards completion
- Experience programming and operating CNC machines
- Strong knowledge of CNC setups, tooling changes, and program adjustments
- Ability to read and interpret both metric and imperial drawings
- Experience with CNC lathes, mills, and machining processes
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and inspection tools
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tolerances, and quality standards
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work safely while following all company policies and procedures
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
