Anesthesia Assistant at BCHS

This role requires a Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant Certification, either as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse. You will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgeries. Your responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and assisting anesthesiologists with procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed anesthetics under supervision

• Monitor patients' physiological conditions accurately

• Prepare patients for surgery with pre-operative assessments

• Ensure equipment performance and maintenance

• Assist in monitoring patients in anesthesia block room

Requirements:

• Certification as a Clinical Anesthesia Assistant required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Anesthesia Assistant role

• 3–5 years in Critical Care/Emergency or Operating Room

• Current BCLS certification required

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
