Emergency Services Registered Practical Nurse

Emergency nursing expertise and acute care experience define this Registered Practical Nurse opportunity at BCHS in Brantford or Paris, Ontario. Support patient care across two community hospital sites.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Emergency Services, the successful Registered Practical Nurse brings assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. The position requires current College of Nurses of Ontario registration, B.C.L.S., and recent acute care experience. BCHS serves Brantford General Hospital and The Willett in Paris.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments within full RPN scope
Provide quality patient care and education
Perform venipuncture and 12/15 Lead ECGs
Organize workload in changing emergency environments
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Two years acute care experience within five years
Current B.C.L.S. Certificate
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certification within six months
Meditech experience and strong communication skills
