The Research Technician role supports the TQT program at the University of Waterloo, focusing on maintenance and troubleshooting of critical cryogenic systems. Your contributions will enhance research efforts and assist in achieving innovative quantum technology goals. This position thrives on collaboration, organization, and attention to detail in a vibrant academic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and troubleshoot cryogenic and measurement systems
• Participate in data collection and analyses for experiments
• Organize experimental records and ensure safety protocols
• Prepare cryogenic dewars and manage liquid helium
• Assist with the preparation of research documentation
Requirements:
• MS degree in a relevant field, or significant experience
• Minimum one year in academic research settings
• Familiarity with RF and microwave measurement tools
• Strong organizational skills with documentation
• Proficient in software applications for measurement
