Base pay range

CA $60.00/hr - CA $60.00/hr

Our client is looking for an Interim Controller for a 3-to-6-month contract in the Brantford area.

In this role the Interim Controller will leverage their extensive manufacturing experience and lead a small team of Analysts to improve the closing and reporting processes, to help with costing and pricing, evaluate and set best practices for Month End process.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Inventory Management:
    Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of metal stocks.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including environmental and safety regulations.
  • Performance Analysis:
    Analyze production performance and identify areas for improvement, using KPIs and other metrics.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, production, and sales, to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Education:

    CPA Designation preferred.
  • Experience:

    Several years of experience in financial management within the manufacturing sector.
  • Skills:

    Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Software: SAGE experience.
  • Knowledge:
    Understanding of cost accounting principles, supply chain management, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Leadership:
    Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement.
  • Teamwork:
    Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
